Mid-America Emmy
Walter Cronkite Scholarship

The purpose of the Walter Cronkite Scholarship is to assist outstanding college/university students, in the Mid-America region, who plan careers in television with the expenses of their college educations.  These are merit scholarships, and as such, preference will be given to students who demonstrate the highest potential to join the profession and thereby contribute to its future.

Typically the $3,000 award is divided into two  scholarships of  $1,500 each, to be awarded to the two top undergraduates (freshman through senior).   High School seniors who have taken media related course work at their schools and have been accepted as a Media major in a college in this region are eligible to apply.
